Two weeks ago, two weeks to go.

Two weeks ago I was driving back from Bloemfontein, after a night spent with die bende, as they opened their new tour promoting their new EP... two weeks from now I will be at the Rooke Gallery, opening A Claude Glass.

The Fokof work is up on Speakerbox, to be seen here. I used to know what sleep felt like.

Monday Morning You Look So Fine: Faith No More.

Back from a weekend in Cape Town, 5th anniversary and all. Sleep deprivation experiments in full effect, as final preparations kick in for the exhibition. Caffeine.

"Hide your face in the curtains,
Better unsaid, so close.

And it rolls off the tongue,

ALMOST.

The world expects the pose,

Perfectly natural.

LOOSEN UP."
- Faith No More

Monday Morning You Look So Fine: Fokofpolisiekar.

"Wie se Afrikaans is dood?

Jammer Meneer, ek het my les geleer...

... dit ryk soos tienergees."
- Fokofpolisiekar

Indeed. Die Bende are back, will be catching them soon... the new disk Antbiotika is well worth it, four new tracks and a wealth of other goodies on DVD.

They still rock hard... er.

Trying to return to Normal...

Sorry for delayed posts... sorry for delayed email responses... I get an obscene amount of mails these days. I struggle to reply at the best of times, and the "work" ones go back and forth all day long, that I never get a chance to reply to the ones I would really like to; the "fan" mails on Facebook and the requests for assistant work or portfolio reviews...
I promise to get through them all one day.

Sorry.

Monday Morning You Look So Fine: The Constantines.

And so begins the build-up to the new exhibition. Juggling HTML as we speak... hope it pays off... hope my entries make a sense of sorts.

"Don't talk to me about simple things,
There is no such thing.
All a man can build is his vision,
and I love my man for trying...

Half done, half done,
Here comes a gentleman.
He'll put you to the test,
I hope a little rest
Comes to you, comes to you." - The Constantines
